Graduation is an equally exciting and frightening time for college seniors. While finally moving on to the next stage of your adult life, the responsibilities and obligations that come along with that can be intimidating. Before you jump headfirst into adulthood, make the most of your final weeks or days by checking these items off your bucket list:
1. Do something that involves school spirit.
Whether you cheer for a sports team or attend a school-sponsored event, it’s important that you show some love for your soon-to-be alma mater. Bonus points if you get a photo with your school mascot!
2. Have a darty (day-party)!
Graduation time means spring time and spring time means warmer weather! Why party at night when you can have fun in the sun? Gather your friends, set up some lawn games, and enjoy the outdoors.
3. Go somewhere you haven’t before.
It’s easy to get stuck in the same routines on campus through your 2-4 years of college. Try venturing off campus and exploring somewhere you’ve never been before.
4. Pull an all-nighter that doesn’t involve homework.
Graduation is worthy of celebration. If you’re up to it, celebrate being done with school by staying up all night doing anything but homework. You might regret it in the morning, but now’s the time.
5. Decorate your graduation cap.
Before you walk, spice up your graduation cap in a way that represents you. It’s a fun thing to do with friends and it will showcase your creativity as well. Here are some ideas.
6. Participate in a college tradition.
Lots of college graduates are expected to maintain a tradition in their last days on campus. For example, NYU students jump into the Washington Square Park founatin and Tulane students take a photo on the “Tulane University” sign. Whatever it is your school is known for, go for it!
