5 ways to use your free time wisely

Students are a notoriously busy bunch of bees, meaning when you finally do get some free time you may not know how to spend it. Here are five ideas:

1. Join a club.

The best thing about clubs—besides the activity itself—is the sense of community. You get a whole bunch of new friends to spend time with!

2. Learn something new.

You’re in college! Take advantage of it. Check out the museums, the art galleries, the library, the lectures, the screenings, and everything else on offer. Get involved and get learning outside the classroom.

3. Start studying.

While this may not sound like fun, we promise it’s worth spending some of your free time studying. The earlier you start studying, after all, the less studying you’ll have to cram in at the end of the semester. Plus you’ll actually learn the material instead of just memorizing it. Your grades are sure to improve!

4. Earn some extra money.

College campuses are a great place to earn a little extra cash on the side. Ask around to find research studies, focus groups, and other opportunities to score some funds.

5. Sleep.

Seriously. Sleep a little more and you’ll discover that you actually do have energy and the drive to work hard. Maybe you didn’t before, but that’s only because you were tired all the time!
