5 epic ways to celebrate Halloween in college

Just because you’re in college doesn’t mean you can’t have the time of your life this Halloween. Here are five epic ways to celebrate:

Host a “clever costume” party

The great thing about being in college is that you’re surrounded by smart people. That means you can host a clever costume party! No ghosts, witches, or other cliché costumes allowed. Instead, every person in attendance must come dressed as a pun. A cereal killer, for example, might wear bloodied Cheerios boxes. An Iron Chef might carry a clothes iron in lieu of a knife. Investigate the supernatural

Most colleges are steeped in history. More than likely, somewhere on your college campus is known to be plagued by a ghost. The library, the bell tower, the commons at night. Learn the story! Go on a ghost hunt! Scare the living daylights out of yourself and your friends!

Turn your dorm into a haunted house

No haunted place on campus? No problem. Make your own! You can even enlist the help of your friends and other people in your dorm to create an entire haunted hall. Every room should have a different theme. Skeletons, witches, the undead. The list goes on. There’s only one rule: the scarier, the better.

Dorm trick-or-treating

Remember, as a kid, how cold trick-or-treating could be? And how tired your feet were by the end of the night? Well, no more! In college, trick-or-treating is fun and comfortable. Just knock on every door on every floor in your dorm. Be sure to use the elevator. In no time, you’ll have enough candy to last you until the end of the semester.

Horror movie marathon

Not in the mood to dress up or decorate? Then kick back and relax with a few classic horror movies, some popcorn, and a pillow to cover your eyes. You know, in case you’re too scared. Remember to turn the volume up and the lights down. Some recommendations to get you started:
